In some rare cases, a complete software restoring may be necessary.

It is recommended to perform this operation when your internet connection is fine.

What is being done?

This operation reinstalls all the software and user settings from the always up-to-date cloud version.

The eedomus keeps its serial number, all the devices, and its link to a user's account. Nothing is lost (except the IP configuration if you choose a fixed IP).

Operation

Restoration MUST absolutely be made with a fully internet access (with DHCP server).

The 3 steps of restoration:

  1. Connect your box to the Ethernet network, and disconnect the power
  2. Press and hold the large center button of the box (above the usually green LED) and reconnect the power
  3. When the LED blink red 3 colors (about 30 seconds or more), you can release the center button, and wait

Re-installation takes several minutes (about 5 minutes). You can check the connection of the gateway to the portal https://secure.eedomus.com/ Configuration.

Be careful: to restore without network connection (internet) may leave the gateway in an unstable state.
